I was taught to knit by my grandmother from Orenburg. When I was seven, I saw how she knits the famous Orenburg shawls. Grandmother told me that every master has her own secrets and that she also has her secrets. Probably because of my love for needlework magazines and deliciously smelling books about art in my childhood, life led me to the profession of a media designer. For many years now I have been working with various publications as a designer and art director, including children's magazines, because I have three of them myself! I love my work very much! In my case, the hobby that recently captured me entirely does not contradict the work, but harmoniously complements. With the birth of children, I began to knit small things for them, inventing them myself. Children grew up, and I was interested in what is interesting to them. I wanted to do for them something that would really please them. So there was the idea of sweaters in the style of the lopapeysa with the characters of «Star Wars» - stormtrooper for the son and Captain Rex for the daughter. Through Instagram, people began to ask me where to find descriptions of my sweaters, and I thought that if there are such requests, why not implement them? Initially, I did not plan to develop schemes, I simply knitted for my loved ones and loved ones, putting my mind and soul. Once upon a time I was a painter artist, now for me the brushes and colors were replaced by a rich palette of tweed yarn. How much now unusually beautiful yarn! If you do not want to, you'll knit if there is a tendency for this! Now I'm very glad that I can share my work with you!
All my life I attach great importance to handmade clothing. My favorite hobby has always been modifying and customizing standard clothes. From the early 80s to the present, I have been customizing ing jeans, jacket, bags, and other items of clothing and accessories.
I never thought that I could be so keen on knitting and yarn until it became our family business. Now I can direct all my thoughts to the invention of new unusual items of clothing and the improvement of my knitting technique.
As an artist and graphic designer, I know for sure that the seeming simplicity of lines, color and tonal combination of details in clothes is a difficult and painstaking process. The successful combination of shape, mass and volume with the color and texture of materials can make clothes unique.
I always had a love for natural materials. Decorating clothes and accessories, I prefer the natural color of metals, stones, bones, wood. The ability to create things from pure wool with noble natural shades won me over.
Hand knitting requires a lot of time, attention and concentration. Coming up with something new, I always rely on my knowledge of the artistic and decorative styles of the past. Experimenting and creating sketches I prefer my favorite art deco style.
Trying to make a stuff modern and relevant, I follow new trends. But in the first place for me is always the magical sacred uniqueness of each model that makes its owner strong, confident and secure in the modern world.
